1.. A phenomenon where a single action sets off a chain reaction, each movement triggering the next in a seamless, cascading sequence of cause and effect.

In a similar way, the former kitchen is reimagined as the master bedroom, gaining privacy and distinction from the secondary rooms.

The old pantry evolves into a covered outdoor retreat, an intimate extension of the master suite that opens onto the inner courtyard.

A once oversized and inefficient hallway is redefined as the new kitchen, now centered around a generous island—becoming the heart of the home, a place of connection and continuity.

One of the secondary bedrooms dissolves into the living area...

These buildings often share a distribution typology that creates similarly sized rectangular spaces, allowing for great flexibility in the use of different rooms.

High ceilings, hydraulic tiles, plaster moldings, and large openings are the key elements preserved and highlighted in this renovation of a century-old building in the historic center of Palma. A selective process of removing elements accumulated over time that did not add value was carried out, emphasizing and restoring the original features.

Since the developers are interior designers (Studio Gran, from Norway), a close collaboration with OAM was established, resulting in a carefully curated project. A thorough exploration of the island was undertaken to find the most interesting furniture, lamps, and decorative elements to complete the apartment's unique character.
